As a result of this project chaos, your team risks missing deadlines and forgetting priorities. That's where the monday.com My Work feature comes in.

How Does monday.com My Work Function?
According to IBM, data can change, and new requirements may arise across the lifetime of any project. To stay on top of your game, you'll need to update models and data sources to manage and synchronise assigned monday items.
When using monday WorkOS for project management, you can utilise the My Work feature to get a high-level overview of everything that's going on. Let's find out how it works:
Click the calendar checklist icon in your left panel.
Start using monday.com My Work to track daily assigned tasks from all boards.
Customise the view as per your needs and choose between Date, Status, Priority, Board, and Single List views.
My Work view in monday.com will function if you've got a People Column in the group. It will only showcase the tasks assigned to you through all monday boards in the account.
To view the items here, your account must be assigned to it in the People Column. Additionally, you should set a Status Column to indicate the progress of the items assigned.
monday.com My Work: The Types of Information You Can See

Ideally, the subitems and items in monday.com My Work will be formatted similarly to how you've added them in your boards. Here's how it's structured:
Item name + Subitems + Updates Section.
Name of associated boards + Name of the group.
The People Column shows who is assigned to the item.
Date + Status + Priority Columns.
Items in My Work

Items will be categorised in six sections. That'll be according to date (or no date), and a number will be assigned to each group, indicating the number of items for each section.
Here's an example:
Past dates: All dates till now.
Next week: Dates for the upcoming week.
Today: The current date you're on.
This week: Dates coming up in the current week, excluding today.
Without a date: No date has been assigned to the item.
Later: Dates following upcoming weeks.
Items will appear under these categories based on the date assigned in the Date Column. However, it's not a mandatory requirement for monday.com My Work to function.
But what about subitems? Well, they'll appear like the rest of your items. There'll only be a few key differences:
In the Board section, you'll see 'Subitems of' followed by the name of the board.
You can view the original parent item that it corresponds to by clicking on the subitem icon.
Overwhelmed with the sheer number of items shown in the My Work board? You can easily search for relevant items with the keyword search bar.
Note: Items must be updated within the last four months to be included in the section.
