Who needs to learn coding when you've got monday AI? Yes, anyone can now create apps in monday WorkOS with the new monday vibe solution.
Currently, the application development software market is projected to reach USD 195.77 billion. Even then, 47 million developers consider this process to be hard, resource-intensive, and complex.
But, with monday vibe, you can create apps, boards, etc., in the monday.com ecosystem without any coding experience. Read on to know more.
What is monday vibe? Turn Your Words Into monday Work Apps
According to Salesforce, AI-powered app development will democratise and supercharge engineering, leading to a unique collaboration. Developers and their AI copilots will enhance functionality and improve security in their apps.
Building on this, the people behind monday vibe created an AI-powered app builder that transforms simple prompts into secure, fully custom business apps on monday WorkOS.
How Does monday vibe Work?
After the success of monday MCP, the team wanted to develop something unique. They came up with monday vibe as a no-code and AI builder that can turn prompts into functional apps.

But how does it work? As monday.com experts, the team at Fruition believes that if you can describe a framework in words, monday vibe can help you build it.
This includes the following:
Dashboards.
Planners.
Apps.
Widgets. (organisation charts)
Time trackers.
Forms.
And more.
To build the solutions, it will access columns, subitems, and items from your selected boards. It will take into account authenticated user information and permissions, account user names and details, and view user teams and roles.
Is monday vibe the only generative AI tool that helps you based on workflows and company data? No, monday sidekick as your AI assistant and monday magic as your AI-powered work solutions can help.
Why Should You Use monday vibe?

All account tiers can access monday vibe features. However, the monday.com users should have monday AI activated.
Account admins can control which team members can publish monday vibe apps. Ideally, the created apps will be private by default and visible only to the creator.

Once satisfied, the team member can share it with others. Admins have to enable the 'Publish vibe Apps' feature.
As a monday.com user, you should use this feature because:
It builds apps directly on the monday.com enterprise-grade infrastructure.
Apps will be scalable and secure.
It will be built with full support for all granular permissions.
You'll have control over the monday.com platform.
Apps automatically adjust to all screen sizes.
All in all, monday vibe can build flexible and reliable apps for both external clients and internal teams. Since it's in the early access phase, it's currently free to use.
What is Vibe Coding?

How do you think monday.com was able to pull this off? It's all thanks to vibe coding.
Coined by Andrej Karpathy in 2025, this is a software development method. Here, users provide natural language prompts to a large language model to generate code. Users are usually focused on the desired outcomes and not on reviewing and understanding the generated code.
Vibe coding is about building apps using textual prompts instead of lines of code. monday.com incorporated these elements to create a new tool. For example:
Describe what you want and wait for monday vibe to generate it.
Make adjustments in an AI chat to tweak the results.
No need to fiddle with any lines of code.
The monday.com Vibe Design System

This is monday.com's user interface library for app development in React.js. The vibe design system contains:
Set of design guidelines.
UI components for you to leverage.
Consider this a powerful resource to build monday.com apps with experience and user engagement. The library contains 50+ components related to:
Data display.
Navigation.
Media.
Accessibility.
Feedback.
Theming.
Inputs.

Enter your prompt. Or, you can choose a preset app prompt.

What Can You Build with monday vibe?
There are over 245,000 monday users with unique business needs. Every one of our 200+ clients had different requirements.

Dev, one of our monday consultants, had an issue. He wasn't able to create a widget for time tracking at a subitem level, which the client asked for frequently. Earlier, we had to install the app from monday marketplace to make it available.
He used monday vibe to create an app that tracked total time per user for the selected time period when time gets logged across different subitems. This new view makes things much easier.

Apart from this, some examples of apps and solutions you can build with monday vibe are:
Account Portfolio Tracker.
Executive Overview App.
Event Portal.
Time Tracking App.
Organisational Chart.
Supply Chain Tracker.
Campaign Health Tracker.
Deal Flow Analyser.
Sales Commission Calculator.
Sales Forecasting App.
Customer Segmentation App.
Social Media Content Calendar.
OKR Monitoring App.
Employee Resource Portal.
Remember, monday vibe has templates for the HR, operations, sales, projects, and marketing teams. Even if you use them to build a solution, you'll have to customise it.
monday vibe: Using Correctly for Best Results

Want to create monday work apps without writing a single line of code? Do that with natural language prompts. There's a new motto: Don't build it, vibe it!
But how do you do it correctly? Take a look at some best practices:
Your First Prompt: Mention what you're building, who it is for, the tasks it will do, and how it will look. Example: Create an IT inventory management system to display assets for the inventory management board and use the left panel for navigation.
Edit the App: Simply type what you need in the chat box of monday vibe to edit the prompts. Examples include: add filters, make it responsive, add a chart, make a hover effect, etc.

We believe you should start small. Don't forget to be specific and build iteratively. In any case, you can always tweak it later.
Go ahead and build new board views and data visualisations with monday vibe. Examples include charts, maps, graphs, dashboards, etc. You can also create an internal portal, time tracking tools, a resource planner, custom forms, a duplication identifier, etc.
FAQs
Is monday vibe free?
In alpha testing, monday vibe is free since it's in the early access phase. Once in beta, there might be some limitations or costs introduced. The monday.com team will notify users in advance before charges apply.
What if a monday vibe prompt failed?
If your prompt failed, it's probably because of a technical issue in the backend. Retry with a simpler version or try again later. If this happens during the development phase, feel free to ask the chat to fix the issues after identifying them. monday vibe is still being improved.
Can all users view apps in monday vibe?
monday vibe apps will remain private unless you publish them. You'll also have to invite team members as collaborators.
